William Dufour's goal-scoring tear continues. The Islanders' 2020 fifth rounder (152nd overall) is continuing to find the back of the net for the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
In his last four games, Dufour has scored as many times and has six total points (4G, 2A) over that span. Dufour began his four-game goal streak with on Feb. 2 in Drummondville's 5-2 loss to Blainville-Boisbriand. The 19-year-old would go on to earn first star of the game honors in each of the next three games.
On Feb. 4, Dufour found the back of the net en route to the Voltiguers' 4-0 blanking over Sherbrooke. Two nights later on Feb. 6, Dufour scored his first power-play goal of the season in Drummondville's 3-0 win over Rouyn-Noranda.
The Quebec native had a three-point outing with a goal and an assist on Feb. 7 as the Voltigeurs defeated Blainville 4-2. Dufour had the game-winner.
Through 16 games this season, Dufour has 12 goals and 21 points. The right-shot winger has scored six of his 12 goals in his last eight games. Across the rest of the QMJHL, Dufour's 12 goals are tied with four other players for the fifth-most goals scored.
Dufour and Drummondville are ranked ninth overall in the 'Q' with a record of 10-7-1.
