Prospect Report Jan 9 horizontal

Welcome to the Islanders Prospect Report, a weekly roundup of the Islanders' junior, collegiate and European prospects. Visit our In the System page for more prospect content.
Here are this week's updates on Islanders prospects:

The Islanders' 2021 third-round pick (93rd overall) was in net for all three of Saginaw's wins on their current three-game winning streak, which began on Wednesday as Lennox turned aside 29-of-31 shots in a 6-2 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Lennox continued to post solid performances, only allowing two goals in a 4-2 victory against the Guelph Storm on Friday and in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Owen Sound Attack.

The 20-year-old netminder stopped a cumulative 75-of-81 shots in his last three games, averaging .925 SV% over that span.
His record improved to 22-13-1 over 38 games played this season, along with a .882 SV% overall. Lennox is sixth in the OHL in minutes played (2188) and fourth in the league in wins (22).

FINLEY'S FOUR-POINT NIGHT

Quinn Finley put up four points for the first time all season on Saturday.
The Islanders' 2022 third round pick (78th overall) contributed a power-play goal and three helpers in Chicago's 8-5 win over USA Hockey NTDP on Saturday. With the four-point outing, Finley earned league recognition as the USHL's third star of the night.

The 18-year-old is averaging a point-per-game for the Steel since being traded on Jan. 13, with 19 points (7G, 12A) over 14 games played for Chicago.

MAGGIO AND SPITFIRES LOCK PLAYOFF SPOT

Matt Maggio's breakout season rolls on, and so does the Windsor Spitfires' point streak.
The Spitfires collected 19 of a possible 20 points over their last 10 games, but their nine-game winning streak was snapped with a 4-3 OT loss against the London Knights on Monday, where the Spitfires battled in overtime for the third consecutive game.
With a four-point performance on Thursday, the Islanders' 2022 fifth rounder (142nd overall) was the OT hero for the Windsor Spitfires' 6-5 OT victory against the Flint Firebirds, including his 42nd goal of the season and an assist on the game-winner.

With only 14 games left in the regular season, Maggio has his eyes set on the postseason. The Spitfires clinched OHL playoff berth on Friday with a Kitchener Rangers win. The club has qualified for the playoffs for six consecutive seasons.

Maggio and the Spitfires are tied with the Knights for first in the Western Conference, both at 79 points apiece. The Spitfires' regular season concludes on Mar. 25 with a rivalry matchup against the Knights.

KUEFLER LIGHTS THE LAMP IN HIS HOMETOWN

Daylan Kuefler made the most out of his only trip to his home province this season.
The Islanders' 2022 sixth-round pick (174th overall) and the Kamloops Blazers traveled to Alberta on Friday to take on the Red Deer Rebels for the first and only time this season. The road matchup marked the first of a six-game road trip for the Blazers.
The Red Deer, AB, native found the back of the net in a 7-4 victory over Rebels, for his 27th goal of the season.

The 21-year-old winger has 55 points (28G, 27A) through 48 games with the Blazers this season, four points shy of matching last season's career-high 59 points, achieved in 65 games played.
