Islanders prospects in Canada, Russia and the United States made some noise last week. Ilya Sorokin is heading to the Olympics, while David Quenneville closes in on a career high. Read more on them and some of the Isles collegiate prospects in this week's report.

Sorokin is 24-8-4 with a 1.58 goals-against average, a .950 save percentage, and eight shutouts this season, putting him second in shutouts and third in GAA in the KHL.
At 22, Sorokin has international experience on his resume. Sorokin won a silver medal at the 2015 World Juniors and won two bronze medals with Russia at the last two World Championships.

QUENNEVILLE CLOSING IN ON CAREER-HIGH:

David Quenneville racked up five points (1G, 4A) in four games last week for the Medicine Hat Tigers. After going pointless in a 4-1 loss to the Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday, Quenneville has points in three straight games.
Quenneville picked up an assist on a power-play equalizer in the Tiger's 4-3 OT win over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Wednesday. The defenseman's streak continued with another helper in Medicine Hat's 4-3 loss to the Kelowna Rockets in overtime on Friday. Quenneville hit his stride on Saturday, with a three-point game (1G, 2A) and the first star in a 5-3 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors.
The Islanders' 2016 seventh-round pick leads WHL defensemen in both points (58) and goals (20) in 50 games. Quenneville leads his team in assists, with 38 so far this season, and is second in both team points and goals.
Quenneville is one point shy of matching his career-high (59) set last season.

MIRAGEAS AND COCKERILL EACH PICK UP TWO POINTS:

Ben Mirageas recorded his fourth multi-point effort of the season on Friday night, scoring a goal and an assist in Provdence's 4-4 tie against Northeastern. Mirageas was held off the scoresheet on Saturday, but the Friars beat Northeastern 2-1 win in overtime.
The Islanders' 2017 third-round pick leads his team in power-play goals (5) and is fifth on the team in both team goals and points. Mirageas has 17 points (8G, 9A) in 28 games this season.

Logan Cockerill picked up points in back-to-back games against Arizona State last weekend. Cockerill contributed a helper on one of eight goals in Boston University's 8-0 shutout against Arizona State on Friday night. The freshman forward assisted on the game-winning goal in Saturday's 4-3 win over Arizona State.
The Islanders' 2017 seventh-rounder is eighth in team points, with 10 in 25 games so far this season.
