David Quenneville Scoring A Point-Per-Game

David Quenneville picked up two goals and an assist in two games this week with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the WHL, including the game-winner in a 5-2 win over the Red Deer Rebels on Oct. 28. Quenneville's three-point week brings his season total to 13 points (8G, 5A) in 13 games. The 2016 seventh-round rick currently ranks third in the WHL in power-play goals with six and ranks sixth in points by defensemen.

Parker Wotherspoon Leading WHL D-Men in Points

Parker Wotherspoon picked up two assists in three games last week and continues to lead the WHL in points by defensemen with 16 points (4G, 12A) in 14 games. Wotherspoon had one assist in the Tri-City Americans' 4-2 loss to the Everett Silvertips and one assist in the Americans' 5-4 win over the Victoria Royals. The Surrey, British Columbia native was the Islanders' fourth-round pick in the 2015 draft (112th overall).

Ilya Sorokin Wins Two Games Last Week

Russian Goaltender Ilya Sorokin picked up two wins in the KHL, stopping 48-of-51 shots in the pair of wins. Sorokin's numbers continue to be among the best in the KHL, as he's second in goals-against average (1.27) and fifth in save percentage (.941) with a 13-3-3 record. The Islanders drafted Sorokin in the third round in 2014 and he was named KHL Goalie of the Year in 2015-16 season.

NCAA Ranking Updates

Kieffer Bellows, Doyle Somerby and the Boston University Terriers had the week off while maintaining fourth place in the NCAA college hockey rankings. Taylor Cammarata, Jake Bischoff and the University of Minnesota currently rank 13th. Nick Pastujov and the University of Michigan sit at 17th.

The Missouri Mavericks

The Missouri Mavericks went 1-1-1 last week, making them record to 2-4-0-1 for the season.
Eamon McAdam made 25 saves in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Quad City Mallards, but a late goal undid a solid performance for the Isles' 2013 third-rounder.
Following Wednesday's tight game, on Friday the Mavericks scored a pair of goals in the opening seven minutes en route to a 5-4 shootout win over the Brampton Beast. On Sunday, the Mavs went to another shootout with the Beast, but this time coming out on the wrong side of a 4-3 scoreline.
