The New York Islanders are hosting a Mental Health Awareness game on Wednesday night when the team takes on the Seattle Kraken at UBS Arena.
The goal of Wednesday's game is to bring increased awareness to mental health initiatives and resources and help foster an environment that normalizes mental health care instead of stigmatizing it.

As part of Wednesday's game, all fans in attendance will receive a Pop It Toy, presented by Northwell Health. The Pop It Toy will be handed out after Wednesday's game.
Fans can find the #TakeATimeOut corner on the concourse, where they will be able to play with four puppies, all adoptable through Save-A-Pet USA. #TakeATimeOut encourages fans to take 30 seconds - the length of an NHL time out - to check in with friends, family or colleagues, either via text, call, or however else. #TakeATimeOut can also mean checking in with yourself for the first time in a while, but in either instance, a few seconds can make a lasting impact.

Splashes of Hope will also create a mural for fans to help paint, which will eventually be presented to Northwell Health's behavioral health hospital, Zucker Hillside Hospital.
The UBS Arena lanterns will also be lit up green on Wednesday, as green ribbons are the international symbol of mental health awareness.
The Islanders are also inviting Northwell Health representatives talking about the importance of taking a time out during an interview on MSG+. The Islanders have held mental health nights in the past and helped support the #BellLetsTalk day on Jan. 26.
Wednesday's Hockey With A Heart charity is
Beyond the Badge
, whose mission to reduce the growing epidemic of law enforcement suicides and break the stigma surrounding officers coming forward for mental health treatment.
