Barzal and the T-Birds are 0-2 after losing 4-2 to the Erie Otters on Saturday afternoon and 7-1 to the Windsor Spitfires on Sunday night. The Islanders' 2015 first-round pick has a pair of assists through the first two games, which ties him for sixth in tournament scoring.
Seattle needs a win on Tuesday night against the QMJHL champion Saint John Sea Dogs to stay alive and force a tiebreaker scenario.
Windsor is currently 2-0, Erie is 1-0 and Saint John is 0-1. Erie and Saint John play Monday night at 7 p.m.
