THE GAME
Vegas fell behind 2-0 after Tampa posted a goal in the first and second periods. Cody Eakin pulled the Golden Knights within one goal, scoring his 14th of the season on a breakaway. Vegas tied the game 5:22 into the third period when Valentin Zykov scored his first goal as a Golden Knight. Following a scoreless overtime, the game went to a shootout and Alex Tuch was the only player from either side to score on his opportunity. The Golden Knights won the game, 3-2.
AT THE TIME
Tuch's game-winning-goal snapped a four-game losing streak, giving Vegas their first victory on the road trip. The team improved to a 30-21-4 record on the 2018-19 season.
