The Vegas Golden Knights fell 4-2 to the San Jose Sharks in their final preseason game on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Dmitry Orlov scored the first goal of the game on the power play, giving San Jose a 1-0 lead with 40 seconds left in the opening period. Macklin Celebrini extended the Sharks lead to two six minutes into the second frame. With 2:36 remaining in the middle period, Tomas Hertl cut the score in half with a power-play goal. Shea Theodore fired the puck towards the net, and Hertl finished off the loose puck in the crease. Three minutes into the third frame, Nic Dowd found the back of the net to tie the game at two, scoring off a cross-slot pass from Brett Howden. Six minutes later, Mason Marchment gave San Jose another lead, and Michael Misa sealed the win with five minutes remaining to lift the Sharks to a 4-2 victory.
