The Vegas Golden Knights open a hockey-packed weekend by hosting the Calgary Flames on Saturday at 7 p.m. PT at T-Mobile Arena. Tune in on AT&T SportsNet, FOX Sports Radio 98.9/1340 and Deportes 1460 for the action.
NOTES
Gerard Gallant announced that goalie Malcolm Subban is out day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Goaltender Oscar Dansk was recalled from Chicago on Saturday morning.
The Golden Knights recalled Jake Bischoff from the Chicago Wolves and reassigned Jimmy Schuldt and Nicolas Roy to the team's AHL affiliate.
Saturday's game is the first game between the Golden Knights and Flames this season. In 2018-19, Vegas and Calgary evenly split their four games.

OPPOSITION UPDATE
The Flames have picked up at least one point in three of their first four contests and have a mark of 2-1-1. On Thursday night in Dallas, Calgary erased a 2-0 deficit in the third period and picked up a 3-2 victory in the shootout. To little surprise, forward Johnny Gaudreau has paced the team out of the gates with six points (2G, 4A) in four games. Matthews Tkachuk, Elias Lindholm and Sean Monahan each have two goals through the opening handful of games.

LAST TIME OUT
Vegas ran into a hungry Arizona Coyotes team Thursday night at Gila River Arena as the Golden Knights fell, 4-1. Shea Theodore scored the lone goal for the Golden Knights in a game that saw Subban leave the game due to injury.
KEYS TO THE GAME
Good Stuff In The Middle: Vegas hasn't put together a strong enough second-period effort since the second game of the year against San Jose. Those central 20 minutes will be key against a high-scoring Flames team.
Emotional Roller Coaster: The Golden Knights had the benefit of two emotional games with the Sharks to start the year, but there's been a decreased level of urgency since that final horn blew in San Jose. It's crucial that Vegas treats every game like a rivalry game.
