Mark Stone recorded two points (1G, 1A) as the Vegas Golden Knights (25-19-6) defeated the Ottawa Senators (16-23-8), 4-2, in Peter DeBoer's first game behind the Vegas bench on Thursday night at Canadian Tire Centre.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Vegas broke the ice in the opening minute as Stone set up Paul Stastny for the first goal of the game. The Golden Knights carried the 1-0 lead into the second period where Stone scored his first goal against the Senators in his career. Chandler Stephenson scored a shorthanded goal to extend the lead to 3-0 early in the third. After the lead was cut to 3-1, Ryan Reaves potted his sixth goal of the year and, despite a late strike from the Senators, the Golden Knights held on for the 4-2 win.
