The Vegas Golden Knights erased a 2-0 deficit to notch a 5-2 victory against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night at Xcel Energy Center. Vegas leads the series, 2-1.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
The Wild jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals from Ryan Hartman and Joel Eriksson Ek. Midway through the second, Mark Stone netted his first of the playoffs to get the Golden Knights on the board. With less than five minutes to play in the frame, Patrick Brown scored in his first game of the series to knot the score at 2-2. Reilly Smith gave Vegas the lead at 17:33 of the second as the Golden Knights carried a 3-2 edge into the third period. Vegas added to its advantage as William Karlsson scored late in the third before Stone's empty-net goal cemented the 5-2 victory.
