The Vegas Golden Knights (6-1-1) skated to a 5-2 win against the Los Angeles Kings (3-5-2) as they returned from a 10-day layover between games on Friday night at T-Mobile Arena.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Nic Hague got his strong night started with a goal just 50 seconds into the contest. Midway through the frame, Mark Stone and Jonathan Marchessault scored back-to-back goals only 1:08 apart to extend the Vegas lead to 3-0. Early in the second period, William Karlsson potted his third of the season prompting Los Angeles to swap out Jonathan Quick for Cal Peterson between the pipes. Cody Glass tacked on a power-play goal as the Golden Knights carried a 5-0 edge into the third. Austin Wagner and Dustin Brown tacked on goals for the Kings in the final frame, but the Golden Knights locked down the 5-2 win.

TOP PERFORMERS
Nic Hague: Hague's three-point performance from the blueline sparked Vegas offensively.
Max Pacioretty: Pacioretty notched three points for the second game in a row. He has six points (3G, 3A) in his last two outings.
William Karlsson: Karlsson kept up his solid start to the season with three points (1G, 2A).
Mark Stone: Stone added to his team lead in scoring with a pair of points (1G, 1A).
Jonathan Marchessault: Marchessault notched two points (1G, 1A) for Vegas in the win.
