The Vegas Golden Knights (11-9-3) knocked off the Toronto Maple Leafs (9-10-4), 4-2, on Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
After a scoreless first period, Cody Glass knocked in his fourth goal of the season to get Vegas on the board. A goal from Jason Spezza tied the game at 7:26 of the third, but Tomas Nosek answered less than one minute later to regain the lead for Vegas. Mark Stone added a power-play marker just passed the midway point of the third period. After Zach Hyman cut the Vegas lead to 3-2, Marc-Andre Fleury made highlight-reel save after highlight-reel save to keep the Golden Knights in front. Cody Eakin potted an empty-net goal as the home team snagged the 4-2 win.
