The Flames are looking to pick up their first win in Penticton, dropping Friday's game to the Canucks by a score of 3-0 and falling 4-1 to the Oilers on Saturday.
"It's been a bit of a struggle for us, offensively, so far but we'll look at some things," Calgary Wranglers head coach Mitch Love said on Saturday night. "We have a day to reset ourselves and then get back here and try to find a win here before the end of this tournament."
The Flames are expected to run the following lines and pairings against the Jets:

Forwards

Jakob Pelletier - Connor Zary - Walker Duehr
Mathias Emilio Pettersen - Cole Schwindt - Adam Klapka
Lucas Ciona - Ilya Nikolaev - Jack Beck
Cole Huckins - Cooper Walker - Lucas Feuk

Defencemen

Ilya Solovyov - Cameron Whynot
Yan Kuznetsov - Jeremie Poirier
Chris Sedoff - Cole Jordan
A starting goaltender has not yet been named for the Flames' final game at the tournament. Dustin Wolf started and went the distance in both games thus far. If Wolf does not play, Daniil Chechelev and Brad Arvanitis are available.

The Opponent

Headling Winnipeg's roster is 2020, 2021, and 2022 and first-round picks Cole Perfetti, Chaz Lucius, and Brad Lambert, all forwards.
Perfetti has spent the past two seasons in Winnipeg, playing primarily for the Manitoba Moose in the AHL. In 2021-22, he played in 17 games with the Moose, scoring 15 points, and also spent 18 games with the Jets, posting seven points. Lucius is coming off of a year with the University of Minnesota where he amassed 19 points in 24 games. Lambert spent the 2021-22 campaign in his native Finland, playing pro in Liiga with the Pelicans. In 25 games, he had four points.
In addition to Lambert, two other members of their 2022 NHL Draft class are on the roster in forward Danny Zhilkin and goaltender Dom DiVincentiis. Zhilkin, a third-round pick, played in Guelph in the OHL in 2021-22, putting up 55 points in 66 games. DiVincentiis went 14-8-1 with a 2.59 GAA and a .907 save percentage in 2021-22.
The Jets are coming off of a 4-1 setback to the Canucks on Sunday. Ty Boland scored Winnipeg's lone goal while Oskari Salminen made 28 saves. They are 0-2-0 at the tournament.

Player To Watch

Connor Zary's first pro season may have started with bad luck and adversity but the forward was able to find his stride in the second half of the year.
Injured in rookie camp during an exhibition game against the Oilers, he didn't start the year until Nov. 10. For the vast majority of players, moving from junior hockey into the AHL is a steep learning curve and will take some time to get their feet under team and that curve gets even steeper when you're starting more than a month into the season. But he didn't dwell on things outside of his control.
He learned from it.
Head coach Mitch Love has spoken on many occasions about Zary's ability to take any hurdle placed in front of him and turn it into a postitive. The organization was pleased with how he responded to adversity and has publicly lauded the steps he took to adjust his game to the pro level.
After a rollercoaster of a freshman campaign, Zary will be looking for consistency in his game throughout the year.
