GEOFF WARD ON HOW THE GAME TURNED:

ON GAUDREAU'S GREAT GAME:

"I've liked a lot about Johnny's game all season. You can see what he's feeling it a little bit. Those are the nights he can take a team on his back and carry it. Tonight, he was feeling it, just building. He's such a tremendous player and he's got a special skill-set. The pass he made right at the end of the second period to Lindholm on the 5-on-3 to stretch the lead to two - what a play. There aren't a lot of guys in this league that can make a play like that. It just makes everything fall into place for us and tonight he was going."

ON MARKSTROM'S HEROICS:

"Unbelievable. And so calm, you know? He's in there, he's playing and he gives you confidence as a team out in front of him because he's there. He played phenomenally well all game, but the first period, really good. But one of the best saves for me was on the last powerplay, on the rebound. It looked like it was going in the net from where I was standing - they had us out-numbered - but the pad came out of nowhere he had enough to kick it into the corner. ... When we needed a big save, he gave it."
"He anticipates so well; he positions himself so well. It's almost like he's a play ahead, so he's able to look like it's effortless. Pucks are hitting him. He doesn't put himself in a lot of situations where he needs to make a spectacular save."

"I give credit to our guys"

JOHNNY GAUDREAU ON FLIPPING THE SCRIPT:

"Obviously, we needed some juice from something there - that first period wasn't great for us. Everyone stepped up, all four lines, all the D helped Marky out there. Got a lead there and...yeah, big second."

ELIAS LINDHOLM ON JACOB MARKSTROM:

"Obviously, we knew he is a great goalie and a great guy and great in the locker-room. We knew what we were getting, but the way that the first period went, he stole us a point or two. We could have been out of the game right there. He played well tonight. It's official, now he deserves the contract."

"We knew there wasn't much time left"

MARKSTROM ON GAUDREAU'S TWO-POINT GAME:

"He's a world-class player and when he plays with Mony, too. He's so good with the puck, so poised and so good at stick-handling really close to his body and finding gaps around the net. He's not the biggest guy in the league, but he doesn't often get hit and finds spots in scoring positions. Today, he got rewarded with the goal and some apples. It's great to see him going."

"It's my job to keep the puck out of the net"
