Johnny Gaudreau was officially bringing the heat.
He was making a statement, lighting it up, and leading the charge with some of his best hockey of the season.
At the time of the 'pause,' Johnny Hockey was a point-per-game player in his last 11 games (4G, 7A), and was nearing that pace in his last 28 tilts, overall, dating back to the turn of the calendar.
Gaudreau is a point-per-game player at the 'Dome this year, too, recording 33 points (13G, 20A) in 33 home dates, and was all set to lead the Flames into the playoffs with eight of the final 12 regular-season matchups held under the big top in downtown Calgary.
