New Jersey Devils defensive prospect Luke Hughes has had a pretty big week.
Not only has his Michigan Wolverines advanced to the Big Ten Championship Game against Minnesota after a 2-1 semi-final win against Notre Dame, Hughes also earned individual accolades in his freshman season.
Hughes was named the co-winner of the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. The 18-year-old shares the honors with He shares the honors with goaltender Jakub Dobeš of Ohio State and together they are the first non-forwards to win the league's rookie of the year award.
