MONTREAL -- In a first this season, the Devils will have a Binghamton call-up in their lineup as Taylor Hall is out with a knee contusion and Nick Lappin has been recalled to face the Canadiens.

"I'm going to come in and do everything that I can to hopefully stay as long as I can," Lappin said. "I want to have an impact on the game.
"It's great for me to come into a team that has been winning. I'm looking forward to joining them. I want to come in here and make an impact, and continue the success that they've had."
Coach John Hynes still hasn't decided what his lineup will look like against the Canadiens, other than that he will be going with 12 forwards and six defensemen. Lappin, however, will likely be lined up with Brian Boyle and Jimmy Hayes.
"I want to be here and help this team be successful and I want to be a part of a second half playoff push," Lappin said. "Playing down in [Binghamton] in the first half, I had it in the back of my mind that I wanted to do whatever I can to get back up there."
The absence of Hall also calls for every other player to step up in their position, something Nico Hischier sees no problem with. This team has dealt with injuries before, and will continue to find success while waiting for top players to return.
"That's part of the team, part of the season process," Hischier said. "Injuries are going to happen. It's never an excuse, you've just got to play for those guys who are not playing. Whoever is in the lineup gives his best, plays the right way and as hard as he can."
Hischier will play alongside Jesper Bratt with a possibility of Drew Stafford on his other wing. Those decisions will be made closer to game time, though Stafford did skate with Hischier and Bratt on Wednesday at practice.
Cory Schneider will get the start, as the Devils take to the ice at 7:30 p.m.
