After a big win over Canada on Saturday, Switzerland was back in action Sunday against France. France jumped out to a two-goal lead in the first twenty minutes; however, it was all Switzerland in the second and third periods. Devils Captain Nico Hischier got Switzerland on the board, 25 seconds into the middle frame, and had the primary assist on the game-tying goal. Another goal by the Swiss in the final five minutes of the second, gave them a 3-2 lead. Hischier added one more goal, an empty netter, in the final minute of the game to help Switzerland win 5-2.
Hischier finished the game with two goals and one assist, playing 18:11 in the win. In addition, the Devils Captain scored on two of his three shots in the contest. Siegenthaler played 21:46 and finished the game +1.
Switzerland sits alone at the top of Group A with 18 points and a perfect 6-0-0 record.
