11/21 Devils at Sharks: 3 Things We Learned

The Devils lost in San Jose Monday night, 4-0. Here's what we learned:
1) Despite what the score might indicate, Keith Kinkaid was the best Devil on the ice Monday and earned high praise after the game from head coach John Hynes for his effort and intensity. He had 83 pucks fired in his direction, including 15 that missed and 27 that were blocked. His 37 saves were a season-high.

2) The power play needs some TLC ASAP. The Devils are now 0-for-29 with the man advantage in the past nine games and allowed their first shorthanded goal of the season in this game.
3) As captain Andy Greene said after the game, "The only good thing is that we didn't quit. We kept battling and blocking shots, but it wasn't good enough."
The Devils (9-6-1) will look to right this ship at home, where they remain undefeated in regulation, on Wednesday when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs (8-7-3) at Prudential Center at 7 p.m.
