Vancouver, B.C.- Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has signed goaltender Arturs Silovs to an entry level contract.

Silovs, 18, split the 2018.19 season between HK Riga (MHL) and HS Riga (Latvia). He posted a 2.45 goals against average and .920 save percentage over seven games with HK Riga. With HS Riga, Silovs recorded a .914 save percentage and 3.26 goals against average in 20 games.
On the international stage, Silovs represented team Latvia at the World Under-18 Championship last season. He posted the tournament's fifth best save percentage (.918) and only two goaltenders faced more shots per game in the tournament.
The 6'4", 203-pound goaltender was drafted by the Canucks in the sixth round, 156th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
