CALGARY - The Canadiens edged the Flames 2-1 on Monday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

SHOP: Win Streak Long Sleeves
Following the game, defenseman Shea Weber, forwards Tyler Toffoli and Cole Caufield, and interim head coach Dominique Ducharme spoke with reporters via Zoom.
Here are a few highlights from their respective chats:
Weber on the keys to victory over Calgary:
The power play stepped up and got one, and then we battled. It wasn't pretty. It was a grind. Everyone stuck to the game plan, especially in the second, when we had some tough shifts where we were in our own end for a while. I think guys just battled and found a way to win on the road.

Shea Weber on keeping up the pressure with the lead

Weber on the significance of the win given the Flames' desperation level:
It's big. We haven't had much success against them the last two weeks. But, there's still a lot of work left to do. It's a step in the right direction because it gives us a little more breathing room, but we definitely have to keep going. There's no time to sit back. We've just got to keep going.

Toffoli on coming up clutch with another game-winning goal:
I think we're all kind of expecting to score the big goals. That's something that everybody wants to do. Things are just going my way right now. I know there are other guys that are just waiting to step up and having some really good opportunities and some good looks. We're just pushing it and trying to find ways here.

Tyler Toffoli on getting his 25th of the season

Toffoli on Caufield's positivity:
He's just a kid. He's just happy. I feel like every time I see him, he's just been super happy. It's almost too nice, so I think he just had fun. It's something that he's going to remember forever. He's only going to keep getting better and better.

Caufield on the speed of the NHL and his approach to his debut:
The speed of the game, I was pretty used to it. It's a jump, but being able to watch a bunch of games really helped me prepare for it. If there's a good look, I'm going to take it. I'm going to shoot whenever I can, create things and hope things happen.

Cole Caufield on his first career NHL game

Caufield on his teammates making him feel at ease:
Being able to be with the guys for a while now, it really helped my comfort level. It's a big part of transitioning to a new team and especially the NHL. The guys have been unbelievable. They made this transition pretty easy. They've been nothing but the best to me. It's a great team in the room and I'm just really happy to be a part of it.

Ducharme on the Canadiens' peformance in the road trip finale:
It wasn't perfect, but I liked the way we managed the game. We made a lot fewer mental mistakes. The more the game went on, the better we were. I liked the way we responded.

Ducharme on the Habs' improvement as the game went on

Ducharme on Caufield's enthusiasm:
It's good to see a young player make his debut with so much energy. I think we played with good collective energy. We were in the right headspace and we played like we have to in these kinds of games. It's good to see a youngster debut this way. All 20 players in uniform deserve credit, including Cole.
