BostonBruins.com- Charlie McAvoy was not to be outdone by his Black & Gold teammates.
During their first game at the IIHF World Championship on Thursday, David Pastrnak (two goals, assist) and David Krejci (goal, three assists) combined for seven points in the Czech Republic's 4-3 overtime win over Russia.

And on Friday, McAvoy wasted no time making his presence felt. Boston's rookie blue liner arrived in Denmark and delivered two goals and three assists in Team USA's 13-1 thrashing of Korea.
The 20-year-old's two goals both came late in the first period - one from the doorstep and one on the power play, a one-timer from the right circle off a feed from Patrick Kane. McAvoy repaid the favor with an assist on Kane's second-period tally, before adding helpers on both of Cam Atkinson's goals.
The United States is off on Saturday before resuming preliminary round play on Sunday against Norway. The Americans lead Group B with 13 points and have yet to lose, posting three wins and two overtime victories thus far.

Krejci also kept his strong start going, adding an assist on Libor Sulak's goal in the Czech's 3-0 win over Belarus on Friday. He now has five points in two games.
The Czech Republic, third in Group A with 9 points, next plays on Sunday against France.
