THIS WEEK'S NEWS, NOTES AND NUMBERS…

STAT OF THE WEEK: Brad Marchand's 70 points this season are the most by a Bruins player since Marc Savard (88 points, 2008-09).

QUOTE OF THE WEEK: "Nope. I think this team is capable. I'm talking about the group now. They're very capable of winning every night. Every time we've faced off - and we've been in every game. I think the Anaheim game could have gone either way and you know, I don't want to revisit every one, but I want them to feel that way - that when they go out there, they can win every night. You know, we've talked about playing to our standard and when we do, we feel like we can beat any team in the league. So I don't want the guys to be cocky, but I do want them to be confident. You have to be." - Interim Head Coach Bruce Cassidy on if winning nine of his first 12 games as head coach was beyond his expectations.

TWEET OF THE WEEK (WEEK 26): @MickColageo (Mick Colageo, Standard Times): "Adam McQuaid had the most ho-hum, 25-stitch skate in the throat & why? Because he's Adam McQuaid. Someday hockey will really miss this guy."

HONORABLE MENTION: @_TyAnderson (Ty Anderson, WEEI.com): "Safe to say that Drew Stafford is officially part of the team after having a goal wiped away by a coach's challenge."

@_TimRosenthal (Tim Rosenthal, Bruins Daily): "Zdeno Chara loses another ceremonial faceoff on the road. Definitely going to need to work on that before his career is over!"
