THIS WEEK'S NEWS, NOTES AND NUMBERS…

STAT OF THE WEEK 1: The Bruins have won five out of six games for the first time this season, and the first time since January 15-25, 2016.

STAT OF THE WEEK 2: On February 22 at Anaheim, defenseman Zdeno Chara played in his 798th game as a Bruin - the most games ever by a Bruins player born outside of North America.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK: "When a new voice comes in, there are always three or four guys that are looking to sort of get their season back on track. Maybe there's a couple that don't get as much responsibility. But, that's certainly been the case for a few of our guys and they've responded. So, you're probably aware of which guys they are. If we can keep them playing and we have three lines that are producing - that's something we've addressed all year about finding that secondary scoring throughout the lineup. I think that good teams need that." - Interim Head Coach Bruce Cassidy on players finding their game during his head coaching stint.

TWEET OF THE WEEK (WEEK 24): @MattKalman (Matt Kalman, NHL.com): "free idea ‪@NHL: radar gun in back of net or behind net so we can know how fast a shot like that [Zdeno] chara goal was traveling"

HONORABLE MENTION: @GlobeKPD (Kevin Paul DuPont, Boston Globe): "Bruins with massive advantage in lead time in six games under Butch Cassidy: 227:31 vs. 29:34. Nearly 8-1 ratio."

@MattKalman (Matt Kalman, NHL.com): "if i have one shot to tie or win from the dots or higher, [David] pastrnak; one shot from below the dots [Frank] vatrano"
