BOSTON - The National Hockey League has announced that the Boston Bruins vs. Washington Capitals round robin game will take place on Sunday, August 9 at 12 p.m. ET.

The game will be broadcast regionally on NESN and 98.5 The Sports Hub. Out-of-market viewers can watch the national television broadcast on NBCSN.

This final round robin game will determine the third and fourth seeds for the Eastern Conference Playoffs. With a win, the Bruins would earn the third seed and a first-round matchup against the seventh-seeded New York Islanders. With a loss, the Bruins would drop to the fourth seed and a first-round matchup against the sixth-seeded Carolina Hurricanes.
