Brandon Carlo played his 700th career NHL game on Saturday night against the Nashville Predators.

Carlo, a Colorado Springs native, was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the second round of the 2015 NHL Draft, No. 37 overall, and signed his entry-level contract that year. He made the Bruins roster out of training camp, making his NHL debut against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Oct. 13, 2016. He scored his first career goal four days later against the Winnipeg Jets.

After spending the first nine seasons of his career in Boston, he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 7, 2025. Carlo recorded 10 assists in 75 games with the Maple Leafs before joining the Blues via trade during the 2026 NHL Draft.

"He's just a great pro and he's a great teammate," said Head Coach Jim Montgomery. "He really cares about people, he cares about everyone - equipment managers, trainers, treats everybody with class and respect. He's an elite penalty killer and elite defensive-defenseman who is very smart in puck support offensively."

Carlo has 29 goals and 91 assists in his NHL career. He registered his first point with the Blues on Oct. 13 against the Ottawa Senators, assisting on Pius Suter’s second goal of the season.

Additionally, he has 19 penalty minutes and has averaged 17:34 in ice time per game this season.
