Blues to host Blue Note Cup Invitational

Fans can watch final games after the Sept. 25 preseason game

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues will host the first annual Blue Note Cup Invitational Tournament from Sept. 23 - 25 at Scottrade Center.

The tournament will feature eight PeeWee teams from five local youth hockey organizations, including the Kirkwood Stars, Meramec Sharks, St. Louis Rockets, St. Peters Spirit and the Twin Bridges Lightning.

On Sunday, Sept. 25, the Blues will celebrate Blues Youth Hockey Day when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets in a preseason game at noon at Scottrade Center. After the game, fans are invited to remain at Scottrade Center for the championship games of the Blue Note Cup.

Blues Youth Hockey Day will recognize St. Louis' youth hockey community and celebrate its future. Scottrade Center will be dressed in youth hockey graphics as the Heartland of Hockey opens the Blues vs. Blue Jackets game.

During the game, the Blues will run features celebrating the growth of youth hockey over the past season, as well as dedicate intermissions to youth hockey and alumni interviews.
