The preseason will come to a close for the St. Louis Blues on Saturday as the team concludes its four-game exhibition slate with a 7 p.m. matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center.
We're closer than ever to seeing what the team's opening night roster might look like. The Blues made four additional cuts on Friday, leaving 28 players in training camp.
"It's been a really good camp," said Blues Head Coach Jim Montgomery. "We wanted it to be competitive, it's been competitive. There's a lot of young guys and veterans that have shown really well. So we're excited about where our group's at."
While Saturday's squad likely won't be identical to opening night's - there are restrictions on how many games veterans can play in preseason - it will be the most NHL-heavy lineup the team has iced so far.
Fans within the Blues broadcast territory can watch the game live at stlouisblues.com or in the Blues App. Matrix Midwest will also carry the game over the air on channels 32.2 and 32.3, on Spectrum channel 186, Dish 31 and Fubo TV.
Chris Kerber and Joey Vitale will call the action on 101 ESPN (101.1 FM).
The Blues will open the regular season with a three-game road trip beginning Oct. 2 in Dallas. After Dallas, the Blues will travel to Denver and Chicago before returning to St. Louis for their home opener on Oct. 8.
