Binnington joins Montreal's Bill Durnan, Boston's Frank Brimsek, Philadelphia's Pete Peters, Anaheim's Frederik Andersen and Montreal's Ken Dryden on the list of players to complete the task in 60 games or fewer. Binnington also tied former Blues goalie Mike Liut for most regular-season wins by a Blues goalie in a calendar year (40) and could break that record before 2020 begins.
Since Binnington made his Blues debut on Jan. 7, he is 40-11-5 with a 2.14 goals-against average, a .923 save-percentage and six shutouts.
After making his debut in Philadelphia, Binnington finished the regular season 24-5 and helped lead the Blues to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, where he became the first rookie goaltender in NHL history to win 16 playoff games.
