Mike Brown MTL CBJ

COLUMBUS - The Blue Jackets are reportedly bringing in another veteran player for a training camp audition.
According to Sportsnet hockey insider Chris Johnston, Columbus has signed forward Mike Brown to a professional tryout (PTO) agreement for this year's camp. The 31-year-old native of Northbrook, Ill., played 58 games in 2015-16 split between the San Jose Sharks and Montreal Canadiens, mostly in a fourth-line role.
Brown, a product of the University of Michigan, has nine NHL seasons under his belt after being drafted by Vancouver (fifth round, 159th overall) in the 2004 draft.
The Blue Jackets have not confirmed the move, but Brown's PTO would be third inked by the organization in advance of this year's camp; veteran center Jarret Stoll and defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron are also slated to attend camp on tryouts.
