The Blue Jackets are back on the road this weekend playing in a back-to-back that starts with Saturday's game against the Ottawa Senators.
With just a quarter of the regular season left, it's the time of year when the season series between two teams are decided, and this game is no different. Saturday will be the third and final time these two teams meet during the regular season and the game will decide who leaves with the series advantage.
The Jackets are 1-1-0 against Ottawa this year, having taken the last matchup 7-6 in overtime off a Cam Atkinson game winner on the Senators' ice.
Both the Jackets and the Senators are aggressively seeking wins to bolster their post-season position. As of Friday, each team sits in second place in their respective divisions.

Here are five things to watch for:

New Jackets fit well.
Lauri Korpikoski and Kyle Quincey played in the Jackets' 1-0 win over Minnesota Thursday and head coach John Tortorella liked what he saw, especially after watching their games again on tape Friday. "They're steady," Tortorella said. "For me, the thing I was looking for was positioning and I thought they both played very well."
24-hour focus.
Even with two veteran deadline acquisitions, the Jackets remain a young team that is navigating a push to NHL playoffs with players who sometimes have just a few post-season NHL games under their belt. "We're trying to concentrate on the 24 hours that we are practicing or playing and just focus on what we can do, I think that helps." Tortorella said.
Maintaining emotional attachment.
One of the main lessons Tortorella has wanted his team to learn this season is how to stay engaged in every game, and against every opponent. Coming off emotional matchups against divisional opponents (New York, Pittsburg) and intense low scoring battles (Montreal, Minnesota) this group needs to find a way to not experience an emotional lull any time soon, particularly not Saturday.
"(Lulls) are a product of the long season," Tortorella said. "It's something the team needs to get better at: just looking at the next game. We don't have any right to look past anybody…respect the league and respect your opponents; otherwise it can come back and bite you."

Tynan joins Jackets.
The Blue Jackets announced that center T.J. Tynan will be joining the team on an emergency recall basis. In 55 games with the Cleveland Monsters this season, the 25-year-old has seven goals and 23 assists and leads the team in assists and total points. Tynan was a member of the 2016 Calder Cup Championship team and has played a total of 209 regular season games with the Jackets AHL affiliates.
Road Warriors.
After a home heavy schedule in February, Saturday's game is the first of nine away games for the Jackets in March. The team takes a winning road record with them having gone 17-7-6 during the 2016-17 campaign.
