Jonathan Bernier Anaheim Ducks 2017 October 13

ANAHEIM, Calif.--For the third time this season, Colorado Avalanche goaltender Jonathan Bernier will face the Anaheim Ducks, his former team.
Bernier will make his first start since March 10 against the Arizona Coyotes tonight at Honda Center as the Avs wrap up their three-game season series against the Ducks. Andrew Hammond will be club's backup goalie this evening.
Colorado won the first two contests of the year versus Anaheim, both 3-1 victories. Bernier made 17-of-18 saves on Oct. 13 and stopped 33-of-34 shots on Jan. 15.

Bernier played for the Ducks during the 2016-17 campaign, which saw him finish the season with a 12-1-2 record in his final 15 outings.
The Laval, Quebec, native will likely play most, if not all, of the team's final four games of the season while Semyon Varlamov is out with a lower-body injury. Bernier is 18-11-2 with a 2.82 goals-against average and .913 save percentage in 33 contests this year. He has a 13-4-1 record in his last 18 outings.
Other than in goal, the Avs aren't expected to make any other lineup changes from what they used on Friday night in their 5-0 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.
Below are the line combination and defensive pairings from Colorado practice on Saturday. They are subject to change.
