In their final game of the 2025-26 preseason, The Avalanche lost to the Dallas Stars 3-2 at American Airlines Center on Saturday. Tristen Nielsen and Victor Olofsson scored for the Avalanche while Scott Wedgewood and Trent Miner combined to make 19 saves.

How It Happened

Dallas' Arttu Hyry opened the scoring at 6:15 of the first period when he deflected Adam Erne's wrist shot from the bottom of the left circle.

Jason Robertson doubled Dallas' lead with a power-play goal off the rush at 3:45 of the second period.

Nielsen put the Avs on the board on the power play at 11:13 of the middle frame when he cleaned up a rebound from the right doorstep.

Olofsson tied the game on a mini breakaway off the rush at 14:11 of the third period.

Colin Blackwell gave the Stars a 3-2 lead at 15:37 of the third period with a goal from the doorstep.
