After taking a 3-0 lead in the series, the Colorado Avalanche look to close out their First Round series against the Nashville Predators in Game 4 of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Monday, May 9. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. MT at Bridgestone Arena.

Recap of Game 3:

In Saturday's afternoon matchup, the Avalanche powered past the Predators in a 7-3 victory at Bridgestone Arena. Colorado now leads the series 3-0. Colorado is 6-0 (5-0 as Avalanche) when winning the first three games of a series. The win featured four power-play goals from Artturi Lehkonen, Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, and Nazem Kadri, while Devon Toews and Valeri Nichushkin scored at even strength. Darcy Kuemper started the game and made 9 saves on 10 shots in 19:53 minutes, but left the game in the final minute of the first period after suffering an injury and did not return. Pavel Francouz took over and made 18 saves on 20 shots in 40:57 minutes.

NOTEWORTHY:

Through the first three games of their first-round series, the Avalanche is 6-for-14 (42.9%) on the power play, the most power-play goals of any team in the first round and the second-best power-play percentage (Edmonton, 5-for-11, 45.5%)... Mikko Rantanen registered two assists to bring his career playoff total to 57 points, moving past Adam Dead- marsh into ninth place in franchise history in playoff points and seventh since the team moved to Denver… Nazem Kadri notched his seventh postseason power-play goal with the Avalanche, tied for eighth since the team relocated (Adam Deadmarsh and Mikko Rantanen)... Darcy Kuemper sustained an injury in Game three and is further being evaluated… MacKinnon recorded his ninth career power-play tally in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, tied with Claude Lemieux for sixth in Avalanche postseason history (since 1995-96). MacKinnon has scored a goal in each of Colorado's first three games of the postseason, the first Avalanche player to begin the playoffs with a three-game goal streak since Claude Lemieux from April 16-20, 1997.
