Colorado Avalanche Minnesota Wild Semyon Varlamov Helmet Focus 4 October 2018

CALGARY, Alberta--The Colorado Avalanche opens the month of November on the road at the Calgary Flames, and goaltender Semyon Varlamov will be between the pipes for the club when the puck drops at Scotiabank Saddledome.
Varlamov looks to better his 4-2-2 record on the season and improve his .950 save percentage and 1.62 goals-against average, both of which ranks first and second in the league, respectively.
Head coach Jared Bednar did not talk about his lineup for tonight's game following the Avs' optional morning skate, so the exact combinations of forwards and defensemen won't be known until closer to game time.

Either Sheldon Dries or A.J. Greer will play on the team's fourth line with Gabriel Bourque and Marko Dano. Dries and Greer joined the team for the two-game Western Canada road trip after being recalled on Tuesday afternoon from the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League.
On defense, Nikita Zadorov will be paired with either Mark Barberio or Patrik Nemeth. Barberio played in the Avalanche's last contest on Saturday at the Minnesota Wild.
This is the second of three meetings this season between the former Northwest Division rivals. Calgary won the first matchup, 3-2 in overtime, on Oct. 13 in Denver.
