The 2023 NHL Scouting Combine is underway in Buffalo, N.Y.

This year's NHL Scouting Combine will run from June 4-10 and has welcomed 106 NHL prospects to KeyBank Center and HarborCenter in Buffalo.

The prospects in attendance feature a class of 65 forwards, 34 defensemen and seven goalies, according to NHL.com. This year's draft class features some top prospects in Connor Bedard, Adam Fantilli, Leo Carlsson, William Smith and Dalibor Dvorsky.

The NHL Combine features physical testing medical assessments, and one-on-one interviews conducted by the representatives of each organization's hockey operations staff. Seven of the 11 fitness tests will take place at HarborCenter on June 10 (standing height/wingspan, standing horizontal jump, force plate vertical jump, bench press, pro agility test, pull ups, Wingate Cycle Ergometer test) also according to NHL.com.

The annual NHL Scouting Combine allows the scouting and management staff among each respective organization to receive one final comprehensive look at this upcoming draft class before making their decisions at the 2023 NHL Draft, which takes place in Nashville from June 28-29. The Chicago Blackhawks won the 2023 NHL Draft Lottery and have the first overall pick.

As of now, the Avalanche have four total draft picks for the 2023 NHL Draft with one (1) selection in the first round, fifth round, sixth round and seventh round.
