No, that wasn't your eyes deceiving you -- the Dallas Stars were indeed glowing a little brighter for their Thursday matchup against the Detroit Red Wings.
For the first time since wearing those infamous black-and-red alternates with the funny nickname in 2006, the Stars officially debuted their long-anticipated "Blackout" third jerseys at American Airlines Center.
Take the night off, Victory Green. Hello, SkylineGreen.

Dallas Stars unveil new 'Blackout' alternate jersey

Unveiled in the fall, the unique black-and-neon uniform concept was crafted for the Lone Star State and pays homage the city of Dallas skyline. In addition to the all-new color scheme, the jersey features the team's Texas logo as the crest, a special Lone Star-inspired collar and bold, black numbers with a Skyline Green outline.

The Stars will wear their Blackout sweaters nine more times this season at AAC. They will also wear their 1999-inspired adidas "Reverse Retro" uniforms three times, beginning with their Feb. 15 home game against the Predators.
