Jason Robertson is off and running in the Ontario Hockey League. Robertson scored two more goals for Kingston Sunday, pushing his total to a league-leading eight goals in seven games so far this season.
Robertson, who recorded 14 shots on goal Sunday, has put 22 pucks on net in his past two games and leads the league with 41 shots goal.

The 19-year-old forward, who is probably Dallas' top offensive prospect, did not score in his first game back in juniors after returning from Dallas Stars training camp, but he notched a hat trick in his second game of the season, beginning a stretch where he has scored goals in five of the last six games.
Robertson, a second-round pick (39th overall) in 2017, has shown a lot of improvement since last year. He spent the summer working out with training guru Gary Roberts in Toronto, and the dividends have been evident. He's lost some weight, gotten stronger, and his skating, a sore spot, has improved quite a bit. He's not elegant, but he gets where he needs to be, and his offensive skills and instincts are top notch.

In September, he was very impressive at the NHL Prospect Tournament in Traverse City, Michigan, where he led all players in scoring, tallying nine points (two goals, seven assists) in four games.
He's still got some work to do, but the Stars like the commitment they've seen from Robertson to improve his game and they love his tools.
"He's made big strides," said Stars GM Jim Nill. "It's his second year from being drafted, and he is a great example that you come to development camp and pick up pieces of what you are supposed to do. He's embraced it. He trained with Gary Roberts, moved to Toronto, got his own apartment and made that commitment. He's got high, high-end hockey IQ and stick skills. He can be a dangerous player down the road."
Robertson is on the radar to play for Team USA at the World Junior Championship this winter, and that is one of his top priorities for the season.

Europe

Stenqvist has tallied four points (two goals, two assists) and ranks second on the team with an average ice time of 20:15 per game. Stenqvist, a wonderful skater with excellent offensive instincts, turned heads with his play in Traverse City. He was originally scheduled to return to his team in Sweden after the tournament, but his play earned him an invitation to Dallas' training camp in Boise. He's an intriguing prospect.
"I really liked his offensive side of the game, obviously he has to work on the defense side, and that will come with maturity," said Texas Stars coach Derek Laxdal, who coached Dallas prospects in Traverse City. "He sees the ice well, very subtle, doesn't panic with the puck. I like his offensive instincts; he made a lot of nice plays. You can teach him the defensive side of the game, but when it comes to the offensive instinct, and it comes naturally, that is hard to teach."

C Jacob Peterson (5th round/2017) is also playing for Bjorkloven in Sweden's second league. He has scored two goals in six games and is averaging 14:10 of ice time. Good two-way player and the Stars like his skill and hockey IQ.
