Saturday, Feb. 9: Game day vs. Arizona

11:45 a.m. MT

Brett Ritchie and Jamie Benn make their way down the visitor's hallway toward the dressing room as they arrive for game day at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz.

 

12:30 p.m. MT

Benn puts the final touches on one of his game sticks, getting focused and ready to face the Coyotes.

 

12:45 p.m. MT

The Stars' moms arrive at the arena via charter bus, ready to cheer on their sons.

 

1:00 p.m. MT

All smiles, the moms file onto an elevator, which transports them to a suite to watch the game.

 

1:15 p.m. MT

Passing time with a little competitive fun before the start of the game, Cindy Bishop and Donna Spezza slide pucks down a long shuffleboard table.

 

2 p.m. MT

Flanked by cheering Stars fans dressed in Victory Green jerseys, Benn enters the rink through the visitor's tunnel.

 

2:05 p.m. MT

The ice glowing in a bask of red, white and blue, the Stars' starters line up on the blue line for the National Anthem and the start of Saturday afternoon's game.

 

2:30 p.m. MT

With the Stars trailing on the scoreboard, Alexander Radulov manages to keep battlin for the puck with Arizona's Jakob Chychrun behind the net despite falling to the ice.

 

4:50 p.m. MT

Head coach Jim Montgomery speaks to reporters outside the dressing room after a late rally in the third period fell short and the Stars lost to Arizona, 3-2, snapping their six-game point streak.

 

5 p.m. MT

Before departing Arizona to fly back to Dallas, the Stars' moms get together for one final group photo at Gila River Arena -- capping a two-game trip with memories made for a lifetime.
