The Dallas Stars formally honored Dan Hamhuis for hitting the 1,000-game mark in a special pregame ceremony before Monday's tilt against the Rangers.
The veteran defenseman, who has spent his 14-year NHL career with the Predators, Canucks and Stars, became the 318th player and 106th defenseman in league history to reach the coveted career milestone on Jan. 30 versus the Kings.
Hamhuis was presented with a Rolex Daytona watch by captain Jamie Benn and his teammates, a silver stick and trip to the U.S. Open from Stars owner Tom Gaglardi and a Tiffany's etched crystal plaque from the NHL in celebration of his achievement.
