Dallas' three-game homestand continues against the Edmonton Oilers on Hockey Fights Cancer Night at American Airlines Center. The Stars enter tonight's game with wins in three of their past four games, including a 4-1 victory on Saturday against St. Louis. They're facing one of the best teams in the league and one of the highest scoring among the 32 clubs.
Roope Hintz enters tonight's game with five goals in his past five games, including a multi-shorthanded goal performance in Saturday's game. He's also riding a four-game goal streak on home ice and has six points (five goals, one assist) over that span.

Jamie Benn brings a three-game goal streak into tonight's contest and has five points (three goals, two assists) over his past five games. The 32-year-old forward co-leads the Stars in goals (5) and ranks tied for third in points (9). Against the Oilers, Benn has three points (one goal, two assists) in his past three games and nine points (six goals, three assists) in the past nine head-to-head meetings.
The Stars (7-7-2) are currently riding a three-game winning streak at AAC, outscoring opponents 14-5 over that span. Joe Pavelski has a five-game home point streak (two goals, three assists) and has six points (two goals, four assists) in six of seven games at American Airlines Center this season.
The Oilers (13-4-0) have the second-best record in the Western Conference and second-most goals in the NHL (68). Leon Draisaitl leads the league in goals (18) and points (35) in just 17 games. He's registered nine games with three-plus points and has eight multi-point efforts in his past 10 contests.
Connor McDavid has at least one point in each of the Oilers' first 17 games and holds the third-longest point streak to start a season in Oilers franchise history, passing Wayne Gretzky's mark of 16 games set in 1984-85. He ranks second in the NHL (behind Draisaitl) with 32 points (12 goals, 20 assists) and became the sixth fastest player in NHL history to reach 600 points with a goal on Nov. 14 at St. Louis (career game No. 421).

As a part of the league-wide initiative, all members of the Stars coaching staff will wear official HFC ties on the bench during the game, and Stars players will don lavender jerseys during warmups and lavender stick tape.

shortly after warmups conclude with funds supporting the American Cancer Society health equity research and operations initiative. In addition, funds raised will provide underserved communities with rides to and from cancer-related appointments and screenings.
Tonight's 50/50 raffle, presented by Jim Ross Law Group, will benefit the American Cancer Society, a nationwide voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer.
Sticks used during warmups will be made available for auction later this week.
