The event will feature an esteemed panel of women including Sarah Bush, Creative Producer for Stanford Athletics, Brianna Decker, Olympic Gold and Silver Medalist, U.S. Women's Hockey, Polina Edmunds, Olympic Figure Skater and Bay Area Resident, Tiana Henry, Business & Legal Coordinator for the PAC-12 Conference, Sofy Navarro, Senior Manager, 49ers EDU, San Francisco 49ers, Allison Whitson, Partnership Marketing Director for the San Jose Earthquakes. The panel will be moderated by Sara Salam, Sharks Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging and introduced by Tara Slone, Sharks Host and Contributor.
This year's Women of Teal event is being organized by the Sharks Women's Network, an employee resource group for women in the Sharks front office. The Sharks Women's Network is dedicated to incubating and empowering the next generation of female leaders in sports. The Network was developed for women by women at Team Teal and meets regularly on initiatives focusing on education and programming, development, and networking. The Sharks Women's Network also places an emphasis on mentorship with a new SWN Mentorship Program introduced during the 22-23 season.
