Shark Life: Spreading Smiles

Tomas Hertl makes a young fan's day after Saturday's game

Over the weekend, Sharks fans enjoyed a dominant 5-0 home win over the Ottawa Senators as five different Sharks scored and Aaron Dell earned his third career shutout. But one Sharks fan likely enjoyed the game more than most.

Tomas Hertl - known for his perpetual smile and "fun must be always" attitude - spread smiles around on Saturday, and not just because he scored a goal in the game.

As the Sharks were coming off the ice after celebrating the dominating 5-0 win, fans crowded around the tunnel in hopes of getting a fist bump from some of their favorite players. The players delivered on that, but Hertl went one step further and gave his stick to a young fan.

Hard to imagine a bigger smile than the one she had on her face.

Though she was sporting a Logan Couture jersey, it's probably safe to say that a new #48 jersey may be needed to go along with that new stick.
