PROSPECT OF THE WEEK:

  • Joshua Ravensbergen (Prince George, WHL) was named Sharks Prospect of the Week on Mar. 23. He registered his team-leading fourth shutout win of the season on Mar. 13 against Wenatchee, making 17 saves in the 1-0 victory. Ravensbergen leads the WHL in wins (32), save percentage (.919), is tied second in shutouts and is fifth in goals against average (2.51).
  • Leo Sahlin Wallenius (Växjö Lakers HC, SHL) was named Sharks Prospect of the Week on Mar. 16. He recorded his second multi-point game of the season with Växjö Lakers HC on Mar. 14 in the 3-1 win at Timrå IK. He leads SHL U-20 defensemen in scoring for the season and has tallied five points (1g, 4a) in his past five games played.

BARRACUDA

  • The San Jose Barracuda are on a three-game winning streak and are 7-3-0-0 in their past 10 games and sit in third place in their division. The Barracuda have clinched an 80-point campaign for the second year in a row and the fourth time in team history.
  • Filip Bystedt recorded his fourth three-point game of his campaign on Mar. 14 at Tucson, tallying two goals and one assist in the contest. Bystedt leads his club in points (48) and sits second in goals (18) and assists (30).
  • Jett Woo notched his first goal with the Barracuda on Mar. 22 in the 4-2 win against Abbotsford. Woo has now tallied one goal and one assist in his first six games with the Barracuda.
  • Luca Cagnoni posted a season-long four-game assist streak (0g, 4a) from Mar. 11-18. He ranks tied for sixth in assists (31) and tied for seventh in points (38) among AHL blueliners this season.
  • Quentin Musty has found the score sheet in seven of his past nine games, collecting seven goals and one assist in that span.

PROSPECT NOTABLES – NORTH AMERICA

  • Jack Bar (Wichita, ECHL)  has skated in 33 games with the Thunder and has posted two goals and 10 assists this season. He ranks fourth in points (12), in assists and tied for fourth in goals among Wichita defensemen in his campaign.
  • Matt Davis (Wichita, ECHL) has posted a .939 save percentage or better in three of his past five appearances with the Thunder. He ranks third among the league in save percentage (.928) and leads his team in that category.
  • Eric Pohlkamp (Denver, NCHC) was named Hobey Baker Finalist and leading defensemen in scoring. He helped Denver capture the 2026 NCHC Frozen Faceoff Championship on Mar. 21 in a 4-3 overtime win against Minnesota-Duluth. Pohlkamp leads NCAA defensemen in goals (17) and in points (37).
  • Reese Laubach (Penn State, Big 10) helped his team earn their fifth NCAA tournament berth in the past 10 seasons. Laubach has tallied three points (2g, 1a) in his past three games and ranks third in goals (12), fifth in points (28) and tied for sixth in assists (16) among his team.
  • Zack Sharp (Western Michigan, NCHC) helped the Broncos earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament and will play Minnesota State in the Loveland Regional. Sharp has set a career high in assists (14) and points (19) at the NCAA level this season.
  • Cole McKinney (Michigan, Big 10) and the Wolverines captured the Big 10 Championship on Mar. 21 in the 7-3 win against Ohio State. McKinney has found the score sheet in three of his past five games played, tallying two goals and two assists in that span.
  • Michael Fisher (Cornell, ECAC) helped his team earn their fourth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament and will face Denver on March 27. Fisher netted his first goal of the season on Mar. 15 in the 5-2 win against Harvard.
  • Nate Misskey (UMass-Lowell, HE) reached double digits in points in his first season with UMass-Lowell, becoming one of four defensemen for his team to reach the mark. He recorded his first multi-assist game at the NCAA level on Mar. 11 at Merrimack College.
  • Eli Barnett (New Brunswick, AUS) helped the UNB REDS earn the Bronze Medal against Windsor at U SPORTS Championship on Mar. 22. He finished the tournament tallying three assists in six games played.
  • Carson Wetsch (Kelowna, WHL) reached the 50-assist mark on Mar. 20 at Penticton Vees, becoming the first forward among his team to reach the mark this season. Wetsch is tied for first among his squad in assists (50) and is ranked second in goals (22) and points (72) on the year.
  • Teddy Mutryn (Moncton, QMJHL) has recorded 14 points (7g, 7a) in his past 10 games played with Moncton Wildcats. He ranks eighth in goals (31) and 10th in points (68) among QMJHL U19 skaters this season.
  • Max Heise (Prince Albert, WHL) posted a four-game point streak and goal streak from Mar. 8-17, tallying four goals and one assist in that span. Heise is the leading scorer for his team with goals (29), is third in points (63) and is fourth in assists (34).
  • Haoxi (Simon) Wang (Niagara, OHL) recorded his first power-play goal with Niagara on Mar. 21 in the 3-2 win in overtime at Barrie. Wang has posted 13 points (4g, 9a) in 29 games with the IceDogs this season.

PROSPECT NOTABLES – INTERNATIONAL

  • Yaroslav Korostelyov (SKA-1946, MHL) has recorded a win in each of his past four appearances with SKA-1946, posting a .923 save percentage or better in each appearance. He leads his team in shutouts (5) and is second in wins (14).
