It was a very good ceremonial puck drop.
Last night, 17-year-old Sharks fan Danny McHale and his companion dog Lake had the honor of dropping the puck before the game against the Vancouver Canucks.
The two were there representing Canine Companions for Independence, a non-profit organization that provides assistance dogs to children and adults with disabilities free of charge. The Sharks Foundation had recently given the organization a $50,000 grant to help with their mission.

After practicing all week, Lake was able to take the puck from Danny and drop it for Sharks captain Joe Pavelski and Canucks captain Henrik Sedin to a huge ovation from the sold-out SAP Center crowd.
Safe to say, it's probably the best puck drop you'll ever see.
And of course, the duo got a photo with noted dog fan Marc-Edouard Vlasic after the game, a 5-4 overtime win. Maybe Danny and Lake are good luck?
