Sens Army Express is ready to hit the road. The free bus service will debut Saturday night, giving Senators fans a convenient way to get to and from Canadian Tire Centre for the team’s preseason game against the Montreal Canadiens at 7 p.m.
For Saturday’s game, buses will depart from four participating Molson bars across Ottawa: Liam Maguire’s (1705 St. Laurent Blvd.), Lieutenant’s Pump (361 Elgin St.), Local Heroes (1400 Clyde Avenue), Thirsty Moose (20 Bridget St.).
One bus will depart each location 90 minutes before the game begins, with buses arriving at the bars approximately 30 minutes before departure.
The service is free for fans with a valid ticket to that night’s Senators game. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with each bus able to accommodate 44 passengers.
Fans can sign up at their participating bar on game night. Fans will need the official Ottawa Senators app to complete the sign-up process.
The same buses will return fans to their participating bar after the game, departing 30 minutes after the final buzzer. Fans must be back on board within that window or arrange their own transportation home.
The Sens Army Express will also bring some game-night atmosphere along for the ride, with Senators branding and music on the buses.
Alcohol consumption is not permitted on the buses, and fans wearing opposing-team jerseys or gear will not be permitted to ride. Children are welcome.
Saturday’s four locations will serve as the starting point for the program, with additional participating bars to be added for Senators regular-season home games.
