Starting with a look at tonight's roster, both Derick Brassard and Nate Thompson won't play against New Jersey. Brassard was absent from the team's morning skate today with an undisclosed injury while Thompson continues to deal with a re-occuring issue that has caused him to miss 8 games so far in 2018.
As a result of Brassard and Thompson's unavailability tonight, the Sens have recalled Max McCormick from Belleville and Fredrik Claesson will return as Sens head coach Guy Boucher will deploy a line-up of 11 forwards and 7 defencemen.
The coach also provided an update on Bobby Ryan and the prognosis isn't great. Ryan, who suffered another hand injury on Feb. 1st against the Ducks, is dealing with a "ligament issue" this time and is considered week-to-week.
