Like the Rangers, the Devils lost Friday night, 5-3, to the Columbus Blue Jackets in New Jersey. The Devils have dropped two of their last three, have five wins in their last 10 games and are one point behind Columbus and Washington for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division.
Taylor Hall is leading the Devils with 29 points in 28 games, followed by last year's No. 1 overall pick Nico Hischier's 20 points. Cory Schneider has rebounded off a down 2016-17, and is 11-6-3 with a 2.72 GAA and a .919 SV% with a shutout.

Players to Watch

Jesper Fast tied the game last night for the Rangers and has been one of the hottest Rangers offensively over last few weeks. The right winger has a goal in two straight games and has six points, including five points in his last eight games, with those five goals coming in his last seven contests.
Hall is on pace for his best season since he scored 80 points, including a career-high 27 goals, in 82 games. Hall has 10 points in his last 10 games, including three multi-point games.
