WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT NIGHT
In celebration of Women’s History Month, the New York Rangers will host Women’s Empowerment Night when they take on the New Jersey Devils on Monday night.
Through non-profit partnerships, storytelling, in-game recognition, and engagement, the Rangers will use Women’s Empowerment Night to continue to encourage and advocate for women to be well-represented in every area throughout the community, especially sports.
Prior to Monday’s game, the Rangers will host a variety of experiences in effort to grow the game, including a clinic on the Madison Square Garden ice with the Jr. Rangers Girls Hockey Program presented by Dunkin’.
In partnership with Chase, the Rangers will recognize Oceanview Optical, a women owned small business and grant them a $10,000 donation along with spotlighting them in-arena. The Rangers will also present a $10,000 donation and the Community Captain Award to Seeds of Fortune, which financially empowers young women of color by helping them apply for college scholarships while teaching career & financial management skills.
